Thanks to all of our members who supported our efforts on bringing Locomotive 801 back to life, we are very, very close! The batteries have been installed and now we are able to turn over the locomotive using the starter. BUT before we could do that we have to turn over the crankshaft by hand 32 revolutions! This is the third posting on our VO-1000 from today. This is the first time in 40 that the locomotive has been blue carded and is ready for service! So yes we are excited! After 40 years, our 1942 Baldwin VO-1000 was blue carded today! A blue card is similar to license and registration on an automobile. The blue card means Locomotive 801 is operational fo
