BUSH FIRE PREVENTION, A KEY TO FOOD SUSTAINABILITY Officers of Asesewa Fire Station have supervised the creation of fire belt around the Asare Odometa oil palm plantation located at Asesewa in the Eastern Region. This is one of the many interventions put in place by the Ghana National Fire Service to ensure food sustainability in line with the the theme of it's 2021 Anti-Bush Fire Campaign launch dubbed "Bush Fires, a menace to Planting for food and jobs, Consolidating Food Systems in Ghana". On March 1, 2026, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officially kicked off Fire Prevention Month at the SM Mall of Asia with a massive assembly of over 3,000 personnel and a grand motorcade of 300 emergency vehicles.
