For Malaysian economy to grow and for the fruits of growth to be shared widely and equitably, and to ensure young Malaysians not having to work as cheap labour in Singapore and other nations, we need to pay workers better. At the same time, our businesses need to be helped to automate, use more robotics, and digitalise massively to reduce dependence on unskilled labour.
