Alternating Sprinter Step Ups - Here’s a variation to the other sprinter step ups I recently posted where the athlete lateral to the box. - We’re still working deceleration here but the difference when the athlete is facing is we are placing a little more emphasis on the quads decelerating and accelerating through the movement. Where before the posterior chain was pushing through the movement. - We also are raising the heel working to increase tendon stiffness through the Achilles and medial arc

Ballistic Sprinter Step Ups - Here is a unilateral jump I like to train through any phase of the program due to its low level of complexity for most elite athletes. - Here we are performing them ballistically focusing on accelerating through full hip extension. - This in particular focuses on rate of force development (RFD) during the concentric phase of the movement. - Athlete - @leafsquad @darius.williams7 - #OTANation #overtimeathletes #unilateraltraining #unilateralplyometrics #plyometrics #

3 Step-Up Variations for Speed & Power Step-ups mimic the sprinting position, making them a top-tier exercise for building strength and power in that movement pattern. Here are 3 simple variations I like to use. One more option: use a lower box and load it heavy with a barbell. And if you want to add the classic Usain Bolt knee drive—go for it. Personally, I like to focus on the push-off phase only. Want a full speed program? DM me “30” and I’ll send you the invite! | Scientificallyfaster

RUN LIKE AN OLYMPIAN ‼️ Want to run like an Olympic sprinter? Here are three moves you can try to help increase your speed⬇️ Fast leg✅ The fast leg drill is a combination of rhythm and a form. You’re going to start with a fork out and every fourth beat you’ll drive the knee up and back under your body. Alternating A-skip✅ alternating a skips is a drill that emphasizes front side mechanics as well as coordination while running. Make sure to drive the opposite arm up with the opposite knee and kee

Here’s a step up plyo series with a couple of our college athletes when we’re training force absorption as well as production. - Each drill the athlete is focused on decelerating and controlling the landing efficiently before immediately accelerating into the next rep. - This is a simple series and progressions to help athletes work on improving that control. — 1. Sprinter Step Ups 2. Alternating Sprinter Step Ups (Frontal Plane) 3. Alternating Sprinter Step Ups (Sagittal Plane) 4. Bulgarian Spl
