Sarah Pender was a 29 year old woman convicted of orchestrating the 2000 double murder of her roommates in Indianapolis. She was serving a 110-year sentence at the Rockville Correctional Facility when, on August 4, 2008, she executed a daring escape. With the help of a prison guard she had manipulated, she changed into civilian clothes in a gym bathroom and simply walked out to a waiting vehicle. For 116 days, Pender became a ghost.
