Silver clay jewellery - DIY tutorial - From Britain with Love

'Dirty' scraps are often the silver clay artist's most undertapped resource. I've been saving all my dirty' scraps- which is anything that could be contaminated with dust, sandpaper debris etc and put it in its own separate little pot. I've been filling this pot for about 8 weeks. And this little lot is worth around £55. Just for cleaning my sandpaper, enery boards and floor! Do you do this? Did you know you could do this? Even all the sanding and filings which are considered 'dirty'. I was asked what I do with this pile of silver dust since it's 'contaminated' with particles from the emery board. The answer is I will fire this little lot which will burn the particles away and keep the silver and put it in my refinery pot.
