The simplest straw chopper. I needed fine straw to mulch round vegetable beds with onions and garlic planted in them. At first I tried to chop it up with an axe, but it was labor-intensive and the straw flew everywhere. Then I tried cutting the straw with large kitchen scissors, which took a long time. The easiest way to chop straw turned out to be with garden shears; it works quickly and neatly. If you, like me, don't have a garden shredder for branches, try this option :) | Harvest Garden
